An infant of just eleven days in imminent danger of life was rushed this morning from Cagliari to Genoa on board a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo dell'Aeronautica Militare.
The small patient, protected in a thermal cradle, was then transferred to an ambulance to be admitted to the Pediatric Institute Giannina Gaslini.
The request for transportation, as happens in these cases, has come from the Prefecture of Cagliari to the Situation Room of the Summit of the Air Squad Command, the operating room of the Air Force that has among its tasks that of organizing and managing this kind of transport on all the national territory in coordination, precisely, with the Prefectures.
The Situation Room of Vertice has therefore activated a Falcon 50, one of the assets that the Armed Forces hold 24 hours on 24 for this kind of need. Towards the 9: 30 the aircraft took off from the airport of Ciampino, home of the 31 ° Stormo, in the direction of the airport of Cagliari, where the thermal cradle was embarked with the little patient, accompanied by his mother and a medical team for assistance during the flight.
