Xi eventually meets with Blinken to help stabilize relations

IERI (Yesterday) flash before meeting the president Xi Jinping, a meeting not entirely taken for granted and never confirmed since Blinken landed in Beijing, he spent several hours with the highest representative of Chinese foreign policy Wang Yi. The confrontation with Wang Yi was very tough when the Chinese high representative, referring to the United States, warned them to abandon the theory of the Chinese threat and that America must reflect and choose between dialogue and confrontation, cooperation and conflict.

Thirty-five minutes were the minutes of the meeting granted by Xi Jinping where the two countries, very divergent on some issues, nonetheless demonstrated their desire to reconnect in order to deal with world crises together and favor a stabilization of diplomatic relations in the common interest of cooling down very heat that cause concern and have a heavy impact on economies.

"President Xi said interactions between states should always be based on mutual respect and sincerity. He hopes that this American visit can make a positive contribution to stabilizing relations".

Wang Yi e Qin gang, China's two top diplomats, told Xi they had frank and constructive discussions with Blinken.

The Americans told the media that they stressed that continued high-level communication is the best way to manage differences and prevent competition from veering into conflict.

Blinken, satisfied with the meetings, said: “We agree on the need to stabilize our relationship".

The US secretary of state did not confirm the creation of the hoped-for red line between military commands to avoid an armed confrontation resulting from a mistake, especially around Taiwan.

On the island, the United States does not support a declaration of independence of the island as long as the Taiwanese remain democratic and free. Washington has therefore asked China to suspend military actions in the Strait.

On Taiwan, Beijing will accept no compromises, no concessions. This is the message that Blinken takes home. Wang called for an end to the stifling of China's scientific and technological development and added to the claims the observation that the worsening relations are due to the United States' misperception that a strong country must seek hegemony, a condition this last prerogative only of Western democracies.

Blinken has invited senior representatives of Chinese foreign policy to Washington to prepare for President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States, probably scheduled for next November.
