2 June, the Minister Patrizio Bianchi at the Quirinale with two hundred students

Italiasiamonoi.it is born, the experimental portal to encourage the consultation of historical sources through digital

Schoolgirls and students return to the Quirinale on the occasion of 2 June. Two hundred girls and boys from secondary schools in Rome will participate in the celebrations for the Republic Day, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, the Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi and high-ranking state officials. The event will be broadcast live on Rai 1 from 19 pm.

The "Italiasiamonoi.it" Project

The Italian school then celebrates the 75th anniversary of our Republic with the presentation of italiasiamonoi.it, online from 2 June. An experimentation project of innovative teaching methods, curated by the "Blaise Pascal" high school of Pomezia (RM) and promoted by the Ministry of Education, as part of the National Digital School Plan. A digital platform for in-depth study and research that sees female students, students and teachers as protagonists, designed to continue to grow, to arouse new curiosities, to get used to the use of digital tools for the study of historical sources, to build a solid relationship with the places in which we live and with the events of which they were protagonists and witnesses.

A collaborative historical writing project, aimed at carrying out, through new technologies, research on significant places and events in the life of the Republic, linked to the territory of reference of one's school. Currently 110 students are involved in the pilot phase of experimentation.

Each group of young people, assisted and coordinated by the teachers, chose a significant event and produced a work enriched by multimedia elements, images, films, vocal testimonies. Experimenting with a “connected” and participatory learning methodology.

The site is in beta-testing phase. For example, the first research carried out by some participants in the first phase of experimentation, who directly edited the contents, helped by teachers, are currently present.

The initiative will continue with the extension of participation to all schools concerned, starting from the next school year. The searches will be available online, but they will be able to find a way to "invade" cities and places: after the first phase of experimentation, QR codes will be created to be placed in certain points of interest, through which, via smartphone, you can access the Research.
