Minister Patrizio Bianchi met with the French Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer

The Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi met the French Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer this morning by videoconference.

During the meeting, the Ministers had a discussion on the possibilities of deepening bilateral collaboration in the education sector, starting with the strengthening of the teaching of Italian and French in their respective countries on the basis of the EsaBac bilingual study program.  

Similar interest was expressed for the opportunities for collaboration in the European context offered by the new multiannual financial framework 2021/2027 and by the Erasmus + program, referring to the initiative of the Teacher Academies, to the cooperation between the respective Centers of professional excellence, the Technical Institutes. Superiors (ITS) and Campus des métiers, as well as the possibilities to increase the mobility of female students.      

Finally, the Ministers exchanged views on the prospects for collaboration between Italy and France under the current Italian Presidency of the G20 and the future French Presidency of the European Union.
