Italians disappeared in Mexico involved the local police. For now arrested 4 agents

It seems to have reached a turning point in the investigation into the disappearance in Mexico of three Italians, of whom there has been no news since January 31st. Raffaele Russo, his son Antonio and his nephew Vincenzo Cimmino, originally from Naples, disappeared while they were in Tecalitlan, in the Mexican state of Jalisco, located in the western part of the country. The three Italians were allegedly sold by some Mexican police agents "to a gang of criminals". This was reported by Attorney General Raul Sanchez, who as part of the investigation still underway to ascertain probable further accomplices, communicated the arrest of four agents, including a woman. According to local media reports, the four allegedly confessed to the crime and face a prison sentence ranging from 40 to 60 years.
The attorney general in charge of the investigation reports that "The four agents sold the three Italians to the organized crime of Tecalitlan".
From the reconstructions carried out by the Mexican police, the three Italians were stopped by the agents and kidnapped at a service station in Tecalitlan, a small town that counts 16.500 inhabitants and is located 600 km west of Mexico City.
The agents would then take them to the highway in the direction of Jilsotlan where the three Italians would be handed over to the criminal gang.
Still no trace of the police chief of Tecalitlan, Hugo Enrique Martinez Muniz, suspected along with additional agents, to be involved in the very serious episode.
The Mexican authorities, meanwhile, continue the research of the three compatriots but do not confirm the rumors according to which Raffaele Russo, Antonio Russo and Vincenzo Cimmino ended up in the hands of the 'Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion', one of the most powerful criminal organizations in Mexico.
