The State Police in Trapani has arrested two Trajan caretakers held responsible for both physical and psychological violence against an elderly woman. The men of the Flying Squad broke into an apartment in the historic center, after documenting with video footage and bugs the terrible violence to which the woman was subjected.
The two caregivers, 36 and 53 years, would have to attend and treat the lady of 75 years, sick and bedridden, instead they beat her, taunted her and threatened her.
The mistreatment took place during the change of personal linen and bed or while feeding them. Although the woman screamed while undergoing the violence, none of the neighbors ever called the police.
The policemen have witnessed episodes of unprecedented violence that they have decided to stop with arrest in flagrante delicto. The elderly woman was admitted to the Trapani Hospital for investigations and has now been entrusted to a protected residence.
