Falla processors: Windows patch problem, blocks Amd chips

First the damage, then the insult. The patch distributed by Microsoft to fix the security flaws 'Meltdown' and 'Specter' no longer causes computers with AMD processors to boot once installed. The Redmond giant admitted the problem with a statement on its site and temporarily stopped releasing the update for this chip brand. The security flaws, which emerged in recent days, also concern Intel and Arm brand processors. Microsoft said it is working with AMD to resolve the unfortunate problem. Shortly after the discovery of the security bugs, AMD rated the risk to its processors as 'near zero'. The parent company of Windows has also warned that the performance of some computers with particularly old processors could be negatively affected by the installation of the 'antidotes' to Specter and Meltdown.
