"First mission for ABI and Italian banks in Albania, to assist and support companies that want to participate in the country's productive development and modernization process and its integration with our economy." It is the President of the ABI Internationalization Committee, Guido Rosa, who reaffirms the support of the Italian banking sector for the internationalization of the national economy, at the Economic Forum which is taking place today in Tirana on the occasion of the system mission organized with businesses and institutions.

The mission is attended by a delegation of three of the main banking groups that represent approximately 55% of the sector in terms of total assets: Banca Intesa Sanpaolo, ICCREA Banca and UniCredit.

ā€œOn the recommendation of the banks participating in the mission - said Rosa - we asked the Albanian Banking Association (AAB) to organize, for tomorrow 20 February, a round table with the main Albanian banks and the Albanian Central Bank. The meeting will aim to deepen the knowledge of the Albanian banking sector and of the regulations in force for the activity of foreign banks in the country, as well as to offer the Italian delegation an opportunity to contact local intermediaries. "

Entrepreneurs operating in Albania can avail themselves of the assistance of important reference interlocutors. In particular, one of the largest Italian banking groups is directly present in Albania with a representative office. During the business meetings, the Italian banks participating in the mission will make available as many assistance desks, to better support Italian and Albanian companies in identifying the most suitable financial solutions for carrying out new commercial operations and investment projects in the country.
