Presented on the day of the celebrations of Our Lady of Loreto, protector of all Aeronauts, the 2020 Calendar of the Italian Air Force is an interactive journey through the beauties of the country, photographed from a privileged perspective, together with the military aircraft that are flying every day for guaranteeing the safety of Italian skies and ensuring a wide range of services to the community, from emergency medical transport, to search and rescue, to intervention in the event of a disaster.

A journey through natural beauties, monuments and cities, a tribute to Italy and a way to emphasize the special relationship between the territory and all the Air Force Departments, which with their wealth of values and skills constitute the living and active presence of the Armed Forces all along the Peninsula, from Plateau Rosà, in Valle d'Aosta, to the island of Lampedusa. A Military Aeronautics that the Chief of Staff, general of the aerial team Alberto Rosso, defines as "a strategic and widespread resource, which works with the people, for the people and on which every community knows it can count in every circumstance".

A flight that ideally starts from Loreto, the place to which the Air Force is linked with particular devotion and which takes on a special meaning in the 2020, in the centenary of the proclamation of the Madonna of Loreto as "Patron Saint of the Aeronauts", an anniversary that the Armed Forces will remember for the whole year with events and activities in all regions.

An 2020 full of important events, including the 100 years of the historic Rome-Tokyo flight by Arturo Ferrarin and Guido Masiero aboard two SVA biplanes, a company that still today remains among the most extraordinary in the history of Aviation, as well as the 60, the Frecce Tricolori acrobatic season, which will host hundreds of thousands of fans of the world of flight at the Rivolto military airport in September.

A year that will have solidarity as its common denominator. All the initiatives, events and the main events of the FA - including part of the proceeds from the Calendar sales, now available at the Palazzo Aeronautica promotional sales point in Rome and on-line on the Amazon Air Force showcase - will go , in fact, to support the charity project "Un dono dal cielo", promoted in collaboration with the Arma Aeronautica Association, in support of the Gaslini children's hospitals of Genoa, Santobono Pausilipon of Naples and Bambino Gesù of Rome with pediatric instrumental goods. Fundraising was also promoted among all the personnel of the Armed Forces on a voluntary basis aimed at devolving the consideration of one or more hours of work to the initiative.
