The search continues, both from the ground and with an HH139 helicopter of the Trapani Search and Rescue Center, for the pilot of the Eurofighter single-seat fighter of the 37th Stormo of Trapani, who crashed due to currently unknown causes during the return phase to the mother base from a training mission.
Work is underway to limit the area of the aircraft's impact, which occurred about 5 miles southeast of the Sicilian air base. On the spot, in addition to law enforcement and firefighters, also a team of specialists from the Stormo.
