Today begins for Angelino Alfano the journey that will see him committed until January 5 on a mission to Africa. During his trip he will visit Niger, Senegal and Guinea where meetings with local authorities are scheduled and he will also visit some projects launched by the Italian Cooperation.
The Foreign Minister, announcing the mission, stated that "Sub-Saharan Africa is a priority of Italian foreign policy and that is why I decided to carry out the first mission of 2018 in West Africa and the Sahel to visit Niger, Senegal and Guinea. We have set up an equal partnership with Africa across the board, from development cooperation to security cooperation, including investment and migration management. This new approach, generally re-launched on the occasion of the Italy-Africa Conference in May 2016, takes shape also in these three countries in visible and concrete forms ”.
