Unique and Universal Allowance 2023: stop to renewal applications

INPS will automatically liquidate the benefit to those who have already benefited from the cheque

From 1 March 2023, those who, during the period January 2022 - February 2023, presented an application for a Unique and Universal Allowance (AUU) for dependent children, accepted and valid, will benefit from the official disbursement of the service by INPS, without the burden of submitting a new application.

On the other hand, those who have never used the Single Allowance and those who had submitted an application that was not accepted or is no longer active before 28 February 2023 may submit an application.

A simplification measure for users, also implemented thanks to funds guaranteed by the PNRR, which aims to enhance the Institute's databases to provide citizens with an innovative service: the data of the application, in fact, will be automatically taken from the archives of the 'Institute, which will proceed to liquidate the benefit on an ongoing basis.

Any changes to the information previously entered in the single allowance application sent to INPS before 28 February 2023 (for example: birth of children, change/insertion of the condition of disability, separation, changes in IBAN, majority age of children ...) must be communicated by the applicants, promptly integrating the already submitted application.

Applications can be sent in the usual ways:

  • web portal of the Institute, subject to accreditation with SPID, CIE, CNS;
  • Integrated Contact Center;
  • services offered by Patronage Institutes;
  • INPS mobile app.

As regards the effective date of the benefit, it should be remembered that - for applications submitted by 30 June 2023 - the grant is recognized starting from the month of March of the same year.

For the quantification of the Allowance, the burden of proceeding with the presentation of the new DSU for the year 2023 remains for all beneficiaries. In the absence of a new DSU, correctly certified, the amount of the single and universal Allowance will be calculated starting from March 2023 with reference to the minimum amounts established by law.

Please refer to Circular no. 132 of 15 December 2022, published on the Institute's portal, for further information.
