Change at the top of two strategic Departments in the fight against organized crime such as the Anti-Mafia Investigative Directorate (DIA) and the Central Directorate for Anti-Drug Services (DCSA), two offices in which operators from all the police forces work together.

In the presence of the Deputy Director General of Public Security, Prefect Vittorio Rizzi, a short ceremony was held, with the laying of a wreath for all the fallen of the police forces, for the inauguration of the new director of the DIA Director General of the State Police Maurizio Vallone, who succeeds the General of the Carabinieri Giuseppe Governale, and the Director of the DCSA, Division General of the Guardia di Finanza Antonino Maggiore, who has taken up his duties since last July, taking the place of the Director General of the Police of State Giuseppe Cucchiara.

Both Directors have a prestigious professional background, gained in operational offices throughout the country. The last assignment of dr. Vallone was that of Quaestor of Reggio Calabria, while that of the Major General was that of Commander of the Nucleus for the repression of fraud against the EU at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
