International conference and aerospace exhibition organized by the Italian Air Force at the "La Nuvola di Fuksas" congress center in Rome from 12 to 14 May 2023. Experts from around the world discuss new technologies and future developments in the aerospace field
In the year of the centenary of the establishment of the Armed Forces, the Air Force organized a conference with the leading experts in the sector on the international scene to share and address analyzes and future perspectives in the aerospace field.
THEAeroSpace Power Conference, this is the name of the initiative, will be held at the congress center "The Cloud of Fuksas” of Rome the 12 and 13 May, and will welcome over 1500 participants, both from the military world, with representatives of the most important foreign air forces, and from the civil world, with international experts from government organizations, academic and industrial realities.
The event, which will see the presence of the Minister of Defence, Hon. Guido Crosetto, and the Chief of the Defense Staff, Admiral Joseph Cavo Dragone it will be opened on Friday 12 May by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General of the Air Squad Luca Goretti, in the presence of numerous guests and authorities.
“The third dimension beyond 2023: reshaping space and time. 100 years of disruptive and borderless relevance of Aerospace Power”, as can be seen from the title itself, wants to represent – in an ideal Fil rouge between past, present and future – a privileged platform for discussion and comparison to facilitate the birth, renewal and consolidation of professional relationships in the world of space both nationally and internationally.
Among the special guests, Heidi SHYU, Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering of the United States, which will intervene on Friday 12, e Benedict Vigna, Chief Executive Officer of FERRARI, which will intervene on Saturday 13.
The international conference, which can be followed in streaming on the Air Force social platforms (YouTube and Linkedin), will then be enriched by aaerospace exhibition designed to make the Air Force and the main companies operating in the aerospace sector better known to the general public. The exhibition event will be open for free to the public, without any registration, Saturday 13 May, from 15:00 to 18:00, and Sunday 14 May, from 10:00 to 18:00.
There will be several attractions that will entertain the public over the course of the weekend: from immersive experiences lived through playful activities and interactions with social media, cinematographic projections dedicated to the Centenary of the Armed Forces; from info point of the Air Force where, among other things, exclusive Centenary gadgets can be picked up, at one Poste Italiane philatelic desk for the postal cancellation of postcards and stamps dedicated to the special occasion.
Last but not least, particular attention will be paid to the initiative "A gift from heaven for AIRC”, a charity collection promoted by the Air Force in favor of oncological research and whose funds will be used for the purchase of latest generation machinery for IFOM, the Foundation Institute of Molecular Oncology.
