China has decided to send substantial aid to Italy. In a phone call between Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and his counterpart Wang Yi, this morning there was discussion of the opportunity to start a great health and technological cooperation between the two countries in favor of Italy, which is now facing the coronavirus emergency with great difficulties. Beijing said it was willing to send 100 thousand high-tech masks and 20 thousand protective suits in Italy, as well as 50 thousand swabs to carry out new tests diagnostics in Italy.

Wang Yi assured Di Maio that in the past few hours the Chinese government has been given a clear indication to their companies to export 2 million medical masks ordinary to Italy. Not only: from China the guarantee has arrived to Minister Di Maio that Italian orders will be prioritized among Chinese companies for the purchase of lung fans, in this way it will be possible to quickly respond to a request that today is not only Italian but of many other European countries and beyond. China, however, will have a priority reserved for Italy.

At the moment the availability communicated by China is 1.000 lung fans that Italy is preparing to buy. The signing of the contracts to get the aid could come already in the next few hours and Wang Yi has told Di Maio that he will follow this game personally. Minister Di Maio also heard and informed Minister Speranza at the same time. "Friendship and mutual solidarity pay," said Di Maio.
