"After having carried out the necessary inspections with the offices in charge of Anas and Rfi on the extensive damage reported in the Colle di Tenda area, hit by the flood events that occurred between 2 and 3 October last, it is my intention to ask the commissioner of the Italian side , so that we can proceed swiftly with the restoration interventions and coordination work already in place with the technicians of the French area of competence ". This is what the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, reports in a note.

"As far as it has been possible to find up to now, there have been numerous damages to infrastructures along the Vermenagna valley in Italy and the Roya valley in France, which cause extreme difficulties in the connections with the site of the tunnel being construction, as well as in the existing tunnel, covered by debris for about one meter. The priority - the minister pointed out - is to re-establish the road and rail links in this area as soon as possible ”.
