Applications are increasing, 18 thousand. Cartabia: "A sign of trust"
The Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia, signed the ministerial decree which sets the dates of the written tests for the competition for 13 posts of ordinary magistrate on 14, 15 and 2022 July 500 (on 11 and 12 July the preliminary operations and the delivery of codes). We have to go back to 14 years ago, in 2008, for a call with a similar number of places. The test diary will be published on April 29, 2022, in the Official Gazette (4th special series, n. 34).
The tests will take place simultaneously in five locations: Fiera di Roma, Fiera del Levante di Bari, Fiera di Bologna, Fiera di Milano-Rho and Lingotto Fiere di Torino.
The competition in the judiciary for 500 places will take place according to a special discipline due to the pandemic, like the previous one for 310 places, for which to date 80% of the 3.797 written papers have been corrected by the commission. Compared to last year, the written tests are back to being three (civil law, criminal law, administrative law) and the hours available to candidates go from 4 to 5.
There has been a significant increase in applications for admission, from 13.000 for the previous competition to around 18.000 for the next. “I am delighted that so many young people aspire to enter the judiciary: it is a precious sign of confidence in a season of reform and renewal”, comments the Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia.
