The confrontation with the trade unions continues for the renewal of the collective agreement

The comparison between the ABI and the trade union organizations continues for the renewal of the national collective bargaining agreement, continuing the examination of the regulatory aspects of the contract to address the economic issue.

During the meeting held yesterday, Abi handed over the association's position on the various issues contained in the platform to the trade union organizations and, in support of the exhibition, detailed reports on the individual issues were presented to the unions.

“After the last meeting, we sent a new document to the trade union organizations on the establishment of a body as a forum for a continuous comparison on the impact of new technologies / digitalisation in the banking world. With a view to concretely continuing the negotiations - underlines Salvatore Poloni, Chairman of the Trade Unions and Labor Affairs Committee of the Abi (Casl) - we have today provided a broad picture on the regulatory profiles contained in the trade union platform for renewal and on which we want to confront, according to the shared path last July ”.

Abi illustrated his position contained in six documents that collect the topics in thematic areas (scope of application of the national contract, relationship between bargaining levels, flexibility and simplification, employment and training, rights and protections, classification of personnel) and which they express the willingness to find a positive synthesis between the demands of workers and workers contained in the platform presented by the Unions, the tools necessary for people and banks to face the challenges they are experiencing starting from the profound technological transformation, as well as the necessary sustainability conditions to the banks themselves to be competitive and perform the function of effective support for the real economy (families, businesses and territories).

On the occasion of the meeting, Abi firmly adhered to the trade unions' proposal to demonstrate the support of the social partners in the fight against violence against women, signing in view of the next International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November) an agreement that allows women victims of violence and in economic difficulty to suspend the installments of existing loans or to be able to renegotiate them.

It is a further tangible sign of the unity of intentions of the social partners in the sector in contributing concretely to this sensitive social issue, already witnessed by the "Joint Declaration on Harassment and Gender Violence in the Workplace" signed last February.
