"We are close to health workers and volunteers for the altruism and courage they show every day"
A little help, an action of solidarity to support the activity of health workers and volunteers from Italian hospitals engaged in the fight against coronavirus. It is the spirit with which the Italian Digital Revolution Association (AIDR) and Canon Italy shared the initiative with great commitment and conviction, donating printers for document management to dozens of hospitals, from Calabria to Lombardy, passing through Lazio.
"In line with the spirit with which our Digital Health Observatory operates - says Mauro Nicastri, of the Agency for Digital Italy and president of Aidr - we shared the initiative of Canon Italy, also considering the need to meet the needs of nature technological. We hope that this gesture can serve as a concrete support to health workers who, due to their different working needs, need to manage and print documents ".
"Canon's support for an Italy that suffers but reacts promptly, stems from the need to support Covid hospitals with a small gesture that are in a moment of serious health emergency and organizational difficulty", notes Massimo Macarti, administrator delegate of Canon Italy. "We have always been guided in our actions by the Kyosei philosophy which states - to live and work together for the common good - and for all of us it is a concrete and very necessary support, already experienced with the Fire Brigade in the recent earthquake that it affected central Italy. And the close collaboration with Aidr is giving a nice acceleration to the idea: we will succeed, together ”, he concludes.
"We are working tirelessly to complete the setting up of the Bergamo field hospital together with the Civil Protection and the National Alpine Association", explains Lorenzo Siracusano, head of EMERGENCY Logistics. "We are very grateful to Canon for his contribution: it is very important for us to know that we can count on his help and the sharing of our projects at such a busy time for everyone," he remarked.
