Bad weather damage, Hundred: "we will not leave the farmers of the Agro Pontino alone"

“We will not leave the farmers of the Agro Pontino alone. We will do everything possible to help the hundreds of agri-food companies brought to their knees by heavy rains and sea level rise, conditions that have created widespread flooding throughout the area. We await a complete picture of the extent of the damage suffered by both companies and related structures.

40% of Lazio's agri-food exports and over 5% of Italian fruit and vegetable exports originate from the Agro Pontino, an important heritage that must not be lost. Work must continue to build and modernize infrastructure related to agriculture. We have prepared a plan on the reservoirs by making available one billion euros. We must continue on this path: no region must be left behind. The hope is that agriculture and tourism will suffer as little as possible in the future from the damage created by bad weather ”.

Thus the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Sen. Gian Marco Centinaio.
