Directly from the United States, the nephew of the pilot lieutenant Alberto Testa (Aquila II), the over seventy-year-old Alex Tiseo, wanted to visit the site of the plane crash near the 61st Wing of Galatina (LE) and touch the jealously guarded relics. at the "Historical Hall" of the 72nd Wing of Frosinone, where the pilot had an educational background in 1947.  

This morning at the 72 ° Stormo of Frosinone some relatives of the late Lieutenant Pilot Alberto Testa they wanted to visit the "Historical Room" of the base where some relics of the military pilot who died in service in 1950, following a plane crash are kept. To welcome the grandson Alex Tiseo, arrived for the occasion from the United States, a representation of 72 ° Stormo and the local Aeronautical Weapon Association.

Ten Pil Alberto Testa, belonging to Corso Aquila II, was born in Pignataro Interamna near Cassino (FR) on 29 August 1923 and in 1945, at the end of the war, he finished his studies at the Air Force Academy at the time located on the island of Nisida. After the first piloting lessons at the Pomigliano d'Arco flight school and Grazzanise Airport, the Testa was transferred to flight school of Frosinone for the acquisition of the "Air navigation patent"On an airplane SM 84 (1947). After a period at the 3 ° Stormo Trasporti of Rome-Centocelle he was transferred to the Stormo of Gioia del Colle where he obtained the “Airplane pilot license"On an airplane CA 164 (1948) and subsequently in Galatina for the "Military pilot's license" on aircraft G55 (1949). Subsequently he continued the training courses for fighter pilots at the airports of Leverano and Galatina. He unfortunately lost his life in 1950, following an accident with a Macchi 205 which inexorably fell on land near the current 61 ° Stormo di Galatina, in the province of Lecce, where, even today, a stele in memory is placed.

Following the donation of Testa's family members, the uniform, saber, flight book, cap and other memorabilia of the young Air Force pilot are kept in the “Historical Room” of the 72nd Wing.

On 29 September 2013 the municipal administration of Pignataro Interamma, in collaboration with the 72 ° Stormo, he entitled a city street to pilot lieutenant Alberto Testa. During the ceremony, the plaque, placed at the beginning of the avenue, was discovered by the then commander of the 72 ° Stormo, pilot colonel Elio Volpari.
