Dl Aid bis. Approved to deal with drought emergency, expensive energy, gas and fuel

The Aid bis law decree was approved yesterday, in the Council of Ministers, which contains the measures proposed by the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies Stefano Patuanelli to respond to the critical issues in the agriculture and fishing sector due to the drought emergency, as well as a series of measures on energy, gas and fuels.

To deal with the drought emergency immediately, the National Solidarity Fund is increased by 200 million euros to support damaged agricultural companies and cooperatives that have not signed insurance coverage to protect against drought risk.

The aim of the provision is to allow companies to access the interventions envisaged to favor the recovery of economic and productive activity, protect livestock and permanent crops and recover damaged crop advances that will not produce sufficient harvest.

Horizontal measures of agricultural interest are then approved, which concern in particular:

  • The allocation of 194,41 million euros to extend the tax credit for fuels for the exercise of agricultural and fishing activities also to purchases made in the third quarter of 2022, to mitigate the economic effects deriving from the persistence of the increase the price of diesel and petrol
  • An extraordinary contribution, in the form of a tax credit for the purchase of electricity and natural gas in favor of companies that have experienced an increase in the cost per kWh of more than 30 percent for the same period of the year 2019
  • The strengthening of the electricity and gas social bonus for the fourth quarter of 2022
