Renewable Energy, Ice: Joint participation at the Fiera Ener Event in Casablanca was announced

In the framework of the 2017 Promotional Activity to support the international promotion of the Italian technology and renewable energy technologies industry, the organization, in collaboration with the ANIE Federation, is organizing an Italian collective participation at the Ener Event 2017 fair, scheduled for Casablanca from 4 at 7 October 2017 at the OFEC Exhibition Center.

The 6th edition of Ener Event, the international fair for renewable energy and energy efficiency will be organized by the National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energy (FENELEC) and will take place in conjunction with the 11th edition of Elec Expo , international exhibition of electricity, lighting, electrical engineering and industrial automation and the 5th edition of Tronica Expo, the international exhibition of components, systems and applications of electronics.

Ener Event is grouped together with the other two Elec Expo and Tronica Expo lounges in the same exhibition space and together provide a very interesting international platform for industry scanning and technical excellence.

The numbers of the 2016 edition represent 6.743 professional visitors, 125 exhibitors from France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, China, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Egypt and Morocco, 230 b2b and 15 conferences.

Morocco's commitment to clean energy is evidenced by several mega projects launched throughout the Kingdom, from the Noor solar plant in Ouarzazate, to the numerous wind farms, including that of Tarfaya, the largest in Africa, to the gigantic dams all over the country. Furthermore, Morocco has announced that it wants to meet 52% of its energy demand with renewable sources by 2030, with 20% supplied by solar, 20% by wind and 12% by hydroelectric.

There are now many organizations that are interested in various ways in the exploitation of renewable sources in the desert areas of MENA countries. Among others, RES4Med - Renewable Energy Solutions for the Mediterranean is the association established at the end of 2011 by operators and experts in the Italian electro-energy sector ENELGreenPower, Edison, GSE, Aper, PwC, CESI, Politecnico di Milano, Asja Ambiente, Fondazione Bordoni, RSE and Althesys aimed at supporting national initiatives in the desert energy sector.

Investments in renewables will also have significant employment repercussions in the southern Mediterranean. Renewable energy projects, in fact, have high labor intensity per unit of installed capacity with benefits for both skilled and unskilled labor, since the production and design of components for photovoltaic, CSP or wind power, as well as research and development, would offer work for the first category, while the installation and maintenance of plants would affect the second more directly. Investing in renewables thus becomes a strategic choice for countries to the south and east of the Mediterranean, to create new jobs for their populations.

In fact, the dynamic Moroccan scenario and the strategy of opening to foreign markets offers numerous opportunities therefore, in order to enhance the know-how of Italian companies in the sector which, due to their size, could hardly be well represented in this emerging market, ICE-Agenzia will proceed to the organization of an Italian Pavilion.

For the 2017 edition, the area chosen for the Italian Pavilion will extend over an area of over 100 square meters, where it will be possible to host a maximum of 9 companies in the sector, in stations set up and equipped on the stands with a cut of at least 9 sqm, and access to which will be managed exceptionally free of charge, both in consideration of the first ICE-Agency participation and to intercept and better promote the interest of companies in the sector approaching the renewable market in Morocco.
