Regarding the declarations of the Honorable Luca Lotti made to the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, and taken from some newspapers, Eni underlines how the same Hon. Lotti has denied any involvement of the company's management in events related to the appointments of the CSM. It is confirmed that the company's CEO, Claudio Descalzi, has never handed over to the Hon. Lots of documentation relating to the activity of the lawyer Domenico Ielo, brother of Doctor Paolo Ielo. After all, dr. Descalzi had met Mr Lotti only twice (the last one in 2016) for institutional reasons linked to the prospects of Eni's activities in Porto Torres. Furthermore, Claudio Descalzi does not know and has never had any kind of relationship with Andrea Bacci. Similarly, Eni would like to reiterate that the company's Chief Services and Stakeholder Relations, Claudio Granata, never forwarded the Hon. Lots of information relating to consultancy relationships between Domenico Ielo and Eni.
