Justice. Cartabia signs decree for new competition in the judiciary

The Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia, today signed the ministerial decree that announces a new competition of 400 places for ordinary magistrate.

The audience of those who will be able to participate is widening: the competition, in fact, based on the changes introduced by the aid-ter decree, will be open to those in possession of a degree only, obtained at the end of a university course lasting no less than four years.

The deadlines for the delivery of the written documents return to being eight hours from the dictation of the track, having ceased the needs related to the pandemic that had imposed a reduction in the duration of the tests in the last two competitions in the judiciary.

Dates, venue and procedures for the next competition will be determined with a subsequent diary of "written tests", which will be announced in the Official Gazette and on the website of the Ministry of Justice.

A new competition, therefore, launched a few months after the last one, to ensure more resources for the judicial offices and to help fill the serious and widespread shortages of staff.

Meanwhile, the corrections of the written tests of the 500-seat maxi competition, which began in July 2022, continue, and the oral tests of the previous one, whose written tests took place in July 2021, after the blockade of the pandemic, are nearing the end.
