A tough edition of La Cinquanta ended

ORC Overall victory for Osira and Tokio, also awarded the Caorle X2 XTutti Trophy

Tough edition for La Cinquanta 2022, organized by the Santa Margherita Nautical Club in collaboration with the Darsena dell'Orologio and OM Ravenna, the last regatta of the season in Caorle which started on Saturday 22 October with sirocco winds and waves formed up to two meters.

A very fast regatta that ended in less than seven hours for the competing fleet, which had intense wind with gusts up to 30 knots, all the way from Caorle to Grado passing through Lignano.

The first boat to cross the finish line was Roberto Vetta's Out of Office, fast Ice52, which wins the Line Honor XTutti Trophy.

Fifth boat at the finish line and Line Honor X2 is Hauraki, Millenium 40 of the well-established couple formed by Mauro and Giovanni Trevisan, also first in ORC B X2 class.

The ORC compensated times of the X All category assign the Overall success to Osira, GS40 of Danilo Simioni, helmed by Matteo Simioni who also triumphs in class B, second place for Bad Company, Rimar 41.3 of Marco Ziliotto and third place for Jules, Oceanis 46.1 of Manuel Costantin.

In class C the success is for Athena, J112 by Giuseppe Mezzalira, followed by Super Atax by Marco Bertozzi and A Cumba by Giorgio Migliorino.

In the Libera XTutti, Overwind Rossi catering classes, Francesco Rigon's Farr 40 is the second overall boat at the finish line and wins the Alfa class, while Francesco Segato's Amiral, First 36.7 wins in the Charlie class.

In the X2 category, the ORC Overall victory goes to Tokyo by Massimo Minozzi and Fabio Schaffer, second place for Hauraki, followed by Tasmania, First 40.7 by Antonio Di Chiara with Franco Spangaro.

In the Open X2 class success for the Austrian couple formed by Josef Fuchs and Gabriele dell'Acqua at the first offshore race in the Adriatic waters on their Sun Fast 3600 One & Only, followed by Maurizio Gallo's Yak 2 with Giulia Biasio.

The awards ceremony took place today Sunday 23 October at the Darsena dell'Orologio in Caorle, the operational base of the regatta, with a convivial moment dedicated to the sailors present.

The class winners also won the prizes made available by the partners Antal, Wind Design and Cantina Colli del Soligo.

The 2022 edition of the Caorle X2 XTutti Trophy also ends with La Cinquanta, which began in April with La Ottanta and then continued with La Ducento and La Cinquecento Trofeo Pellegrini.

The winners of the Trophy were acclaimed and they were awarded two precious Venezianico watches: Columbia, Solaris 36 of the Blu Sailing Team winners of the XTutti category and Tokio of Massimo Minozzi and Fabio Schaffer winners of X2.
