The future of payments at the seventh edition of the ABI Show

The seventh edition of the ABI Payments Show will take place from 23 to 25 November. The three days will be kicked off by the President of ABI, Antonio Patuelli, who will open the plenary session dedicated to the theme of "The European way for digital payments" tomorrow morning. On Friday 25 November, however, the Show will close with the conclusions of the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, in the special event of the Fintech Milano HUB, the Innovation Center created by the Bank of Italy to support the digital development of the market Italian of payments.

More than 200 speakers are expected, including: Piero Cipollone, Deputy Director of the Bank of Italy; Alessandra Perrazzelli, Deputy Director of the Bank of Italy; Cecilia Skingsley, Head of the Innovation Hub of the Bank for International Settlements.

Among the topics at the center of this edition: the future of payments and the evolution of tools and services, thanks to innovation and technology applied to digital payments, waiting for the imminent advent of PSD3 and the new perspectives opened up by the digital euro in a constantly evolving market. A market which, after the acceleration also caused by the pandemic, is confronted with the innovations introduced in the European scenario by the revision of the PSD2 directive, scheduled for the first half of next year, and by the progress of the ECB's work for the creation of a single digital currency. In the background, as indispensable enabling factors for the interconnection and interoperability of systems and technological platforms in the banking and financial world, open banking and open finance. Institutions, banks, public administrations, sector operators, companies, technology companies, Fintechs, startups and incubators will discuss these and other topics in the numerous debate and in-depth sessions that make up this year's Show, promoted by ABI and organized by ABIEventi in Milan.

The 2022 edition of the Salone: ​​“We are open”

This year the Show will take place at Mico-Milano Congressi, providing participants with large exhibition spaces, with stands where they can touch all the latest innovations in payment instruments, increasingly "smart", innovative and sustainable.

Through 40 debate sessions with over 200 speakers, the conference will explore eight thematic strands: "The future of global payments", "Open Tech and new business models", "Towards a sustainable society", "The integrated digital store", " The evolution of E-commerce”, “Euro Digitale and digital assets”, “The challenges of security”, “Future consumers: new generations”.

At the end of the works, the Exhibition will host the special event of the Fintech Milano HUB: "The Bank of Italy for financial innovation: Milano Hub at the second call for proposals".
