INPS: retirement placement of school staff from 1 September 2019

The INPS deems it appropriate to disseminate some clarifications regarding the applications for pension of the school staff.

The Institute has prepared a series of important organizational and procedural initiatives to face the exceptional workload generated by the pension reform of the 4 2019 Law Decree, which supports a series of important innovations already foreseen by the Budget Law for the year 2019 .

In particular, for the school staff, the Institute has started, in constant collaboration with MIUR, dedicated activities for the standardization of insurance positions, with the help of a specific national project structure. The fruitful collaboration has led, on the one hand, to the sharing of guidelines adopted by the Ministry for the enhancement of tools for the exchange of data between the INPS and the territorial schools and educational institutions and, secondly, to the identification of a precise timing for the data settlement activities by the school structures to allow INPS the verification of the right to a pension and the subsequent settlement on the pre-established date. As part of this collaboration, special training meetings are currently underway with the Ministry's territorial structures, aimed at facilitating the correct use of applications for the exchange of contributory information.

In particular, the news according to which there would be a risk of a postponement of the times that could "blow" the exit window of 1 September 2019 available to school staff is devoid of any foundation for which, despite having the requirements this year, in fact, one could retire only in September 2020: those who have obtained the right to early retirement within the terms of the law will be placed in retirement from 1 September next.

The opportunity is taken to clarify that, following the merger of Inpdap into Inps, the entire information assets of the Inpdap has been transferred to the Inps archives and is currently managed by INPS. The lack of information on the insurance positions of civil servants is linked to the particular career that characterizes this category of workers and the mechanisms for managing their insurance positions, but they have not prevented or prevented the correct liquidation of the pension.
