Justice-RPT agreement: the central monitoring unit on fair compensation is born

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Justice and the Technical Professions Network was signed today, which provides for the establishment of the "Central Monitoring Unit for the regulation of fair compensation for the technical professions supervised by the Ministry of Justice". The document was signed by Minister Alfonso Bonafede and by the Coordinator of the RPT Armando Zambrano.

The task of the Unit, established at the via Arenula dicastery, is to monitor the correct application of the rules on fair compensation for the technical professions, with exclusive reference to the Orders belonging to the network subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Justice. The Central Monitoring Unit is made up of three representatives of the Ministry of Justice designated by the Guardasigilli, one representing the Cabinet of the Minister, one representing the Legislative Office of the Ministry and one representing the Professional Orders Office and Directorate Registers General of Internal Affairs from the Ministry of Justice Affairs Department, as well as from the Coordinator of the Technical Professions Network or his delegate and from two Councilors of the same.

For the Minister of Justice, Alfonso Bonafede "a compensation that is not fair damages the dignity of the professional and, moreover, generates dangerous repercussions on the market and in terms of competition". "Today with the birth of the 'Central Monitoring Unit' - added Bonafede - we are taking an important step forward to ensure the quality of the professional's activity and consequently increase the protection of citizens and users".

“The signing of this protocol of understanding with the Ministry of Justice - commented Armando Zambrano, Coordinator of the Technical Professions Network - is a passage of fundamental importance. Fair compensation for professionals is a right and it is absolutely necessary to monitor its application. In this sense, the Monitoring Unit represents an important tool. Now we must aim, equally sacrosanct, to extend the application of fair compensation to all clients and to the PA ".

The Technical Professions Network, through the national Councils of the Orders and the Colleges participating in it, promotes the establishment of territorial Units to monitor the correct application of the rules on fair compensation. The task of the territorial units is to acquire all information on conventions, notices and other acts of interest, reporting any anomalies or violations to the Central Unit. The latter can report to the Competition and Market Authority and to other competent Authorities the behavior of private and public clients who violate the law on fair compensation for technical professions; propose legislative initiatives on the protection of fair compensation for technical professions; urge the public and private clients indicated to consequently adapt their practices.
