Minister Valditara's letter will be sent to all families on Monday
“I am convinced that it is essential, all together, to support our girls and boys in deciding on the choice of study path. The most delicate and at the same time important problem of the school and the family is listening with patience, intelligence and depth to the kids to discover their talents": this is one of the initial steps of the letter that tomorrow the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara will send to all Italian families through the country's schools.
The theme of this letter is scholastic guidance, one of the most important at this time of year for families and one of the most heartfelt by the Minister: in view of the dates by which it is possible to submit applications for enrollment for the year 2023-2024 (from 9 to 30 January) the letter contains the reflections with which the Minister intends to accompany parents and students in their next choice of studies.
"The school system must advise families: parents, students, teachers and institutions must form a great alliance and collaborate to enhance the talents of each individual student", added Minister Valditara.
The letter also offers a series of useful information for understanding in which direction the world of work is heading, draws up the numbers and professional profiles that best correspond to the needs of the labor market, indicates the most recent statistics on the job opportunities that each Region offers compared to the institutes in the area and offers an overview of how young people currently address themselves after graduation, with a look at the productive world and one at the university world.
These are essential indications, which will be enriched digitally: in fact, the Minister concluded in the letter, "we are working on a specific guidance platform which will be reserved for this strategic task".
