Lazio, liable for credibility, Lotito resorts to legal counsel

Lotito goes through strong manners, reacting to a really difficult week for football, following Anna Frank's anti-Semitic stickers on the seats of the Curva Sud, the Romanesque curve during the Lazio Cagliari match.
SS Lazio, therefore, has given a mandate to its lawyers to proceed in all offices (criminal and civil) for the assessment of crimes and the compensation of serious pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage deriving from the damage to the credibility and prestige of the Company listed in SS Lazio SpA and its President Claudio Lotito towards the subjects, people and newspapers, television and radio that have attributed behaviors, facts, sentences and interpretations that differ from those actually pronounced and occurred ". This was announced by the biancoceleste club in an official note following the controversy over the aforementioned stickers and the broadcasting of the audio of a telephone conversation by president Lotito.

The president of Lazio had gone to the synagogue in the capital to pay his respects to the Jewish community and condemn the gesture. Il Messaggero, however, has published the recording of a phone call from the airport in which the Biancoceleste patron said: “Let's go and fa 'this clown”.
According to Time, however, reconstruction would be wrong. Or at least extrapolated from the context. Lotito at that time was on the phone with Vittorio Pavoncello, president of Maccabi Rome and exponent of the Jewish sports world. The president of Lazio wanted to be able to bring the flower wreath to the presence of someone in the synagogue, just to mark the distance with the antisemitic insults of the Lazio curve.
In the course of phone calls, as Il Tempo reports, Lotito would also have heard Arturo Diaconale and Stefano De Martino in charge of the Biancoceleste press office. Lotito would have liked to meet the Jewish community, but was unable to arrange a contact. Not only. Alongside Lotito, the deputy of the Democratic Party Dario Ginefra also traveled by plane, who if at first he denied having heard the phone call, once the audio of the Messenger came out he took a small step back.
To advise Lotito to bring a wreath of flowers in a sign of respect would have been Pavoncello. Decided for the flowers, the Lazio leaders would try to contact the tops of the community to make sure there were some exponents to attend. But in the end it was not possible. After a frantic phone call, with which Diaconale also tries to contact President Ruth Dureghello, you get to the fateful call registered by the Messenger.
“According to what has been reconstructed by Il Tempo and by Lotito's legal office, ready for a flurry of lawsuits - reads the Roman daily - the offending audio (extrapolated from the context) should actually be interpreted in reverse. And that is when Pavoncello confirms for the umpteenth time to Lotito that the personalities of the Jewish community are abroad or unavailable, Lotito blurts out: but if there is no one I'm going to do, a scene? Phrase repeated several times in several phone calls. Sources very close to the company confirm to Il Tempo that Pavoncello would have suggested to Lotito to go and lay the crown anyway because, in the end, someone would have shown up. Lotito would have said yes, but then he would have thought about it. And in asking in vain for further reassurance, he ended up colliding with the veiled request to give up the laying of flowers ”.
In short, Lotito complained of the "refusal" or unwillingness to attend by the Jewish community. He wanted a strong gesture, the president, and without a single Jewish exponent it would have been less convincing. From here we arrive at the term "scripted" that has caused much discussion. According to Il Tempo, the meaning of that word means that "without any member of the Community, appearing in front of the Synagogue would have been of little use also to give a further signal, compared to the acts already carried out in the past, for the most extremist fans of Lazio" . The skit, in short, referred to the fact that bringing only flowers for Lotito would have been too little.
