Leonardo at the top in anti-corruption. "Anti-bribery Management System" international certification confirmed

Leonardo confirms his leadership in anti-corruption. In fact, the company was again recognized by RINA, an independent certification body accredited with Accredia (National Accreditation Body of certification and inspection bodies) and Italian leader in conformity assessment, the ISO 37001: 2016 "Anti-bribery Management System ", The first international standard on anti-corruption management systems.

A result achieved for the first time in 2018, when Leonardo already stood among the first companies in the Aerospace, Defense and Security sector, at an international level, in obtaining the certification. The new recognition testifies to Leonardo's constant commitment to a priority issue for the Company, strongly focused on responsible business management, in line with industry best practices, and on the continuous strengthening of the risk management and internal control system, aimed at preventing, detecting and combating corruption.

"The confirmation of the certification demonstrates, once again, how structured and rooted Leonardo's anti-corruption model is - underlines Luciano Carta, President of Leonardo - a system that is based on rules inspired by principles of integrity and transparency aimed at countering at any level , occupational and geographical, the risks of illegal practices. It is a solid approach that relies on resources committed daily to responsible business management, inspired by zero tolerance towards corruption and which also makes use of constant employee training, through specific paths for risk prevention ".

For Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo's Chief Executive Officer, “Leonardo has intensified its efforts by adopting targeted risk assessment methodologies, more stringent internal controls and has promoted employee awareness campaigns on whistleblowing and anti-corruption issues. The result achieved is therefore indicative of the commitment made by the Company over the years and aimed at integrity, transparency and compliance with the rules adopted to prevent and combat corruption, the result of the constant work of the numerous corporate functions involved ".

Leonardo's initiatives in terms of transparency, ethics and anti-corruption have recently allowed the company to position itself first in the ranking of the Defense Companies Index on Anti-Corruption and Corporate Transparency (DCI), prepared by the non-governmental organization Transparency International.

Leonardo was also recognized in the last year as a leader company (for the second consecutive year) in the Aerospace and Defense sector of the Dow Jones sustainability indexes, included in the "A List" of CDP (former Carbon Disclosure Project) for the fight against climate change, recognized as the Global Compact LEAD of the Global Compact and, finally, included, for the first time, in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) of 2021 on the subject of gender equality.
