Libya, France tries again: "secret sources speak of a meeting in Paris shortly between al Sarraj and Haftar"

The under-the-table actions of the French government in Libya do not end. Transalpine diplomacy is reportedly working to organize a summit between the head of the Libyan National Accord Government (GNA), Fayez al Sarraj, and the commander of the self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA), Khalifa Haftar. French worries have sprung from the recent escalation of fighting in the south of the country. This was reported by the information site "Libya24" where he specified an ongoing negotiation for a summit between the two Libyan leaders to be held in Paris on 25 and 26 February. There are currently no official confirmations from Libyan institutions. Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA), led by General Khalifa Haftar, has announced the capture of the city of Murzuq in southern Libya. According to what has been announced by the press office of the general command of the forces of Benghazi, Haftar's men and allied militias have taken the city by controlling it completely. The Haftar military, reports the Italian news agency Nova, claim to have seized vehicles and weapons from the militias made up of Chadian rebels and to have captured several militiamen. The press office of the general command is also circulating in these hours some photos showing the deployment of forces loyal to the LNA in the streets of Murzuq.
