Libya, Haftar bombs areas of Fezzan

The Libyan Air Force MiG-35 fighters loyal to General Khalifa Haftar, a strongman from Cyrenaica, conducted a series of air strikes today in an area south of Sebha, in Fezzan, following the firefights that took place these morning which have caused the deaths of four soldiers of the self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA). This was reported by the Italian agency Nova. According to reports from the television broadcaster “al Arabiya”, the raids affected the area of ​​Ghadwa where this morning Haftar's forces repelled an offensive by the Chadian rebels. For this reason, reinforcements have arrived from Sebha in the past few hours in view of an operation against the Chadian armed groups. In the clashes this morning there are also 13 wounded Haftar soldiers. The scene of the clashes was the area between Ghadwa and Mazraq. The head of Haftar's forces in Sebha, Abdel Salam al Hasi, spoke of the start of an operation by his soldiers who are heading to Mazraq to fight against the Chadian rebels in the area. According to the spokesman of the LNA, Ahmed al Mismari, "the mercenaries of Chad" are "supported by Jadhran (Ibrahim, former head of the Guards of the oil structures) and the terrorists who fled from Benghazi".
