Payment of the 200 euro bonus completed the first phase

The payment campaign of the 200 euro Bonus by the INPS continues. As established by circular 73/2022, in the month of July the indemnity was paid to the beneficiaries of Citizenship Income, to the holders of pension, accompanying pension, to the holders of disability allowance and Social Allowance.

The process - totally automated for these categories, from the verification of the requirements to the issuance of the provision - has made it possible to reduce as much as possible the time for the payment of the service, without any burden for citizens. As of July 1, 13 million and 137 thousand pensioners have thus received the credit of the sum.

As regards the Citizenship Income, the 200 euro bonus was paid to around 800 thousand earning nuclei (please note that the law provides that the one-off bonus is paid to the nucleus and not to the individual members).

In the same month, payments were made for domestic workers, based on the applications received. At the beginning of August, out of 445.875 applications submitted, 427.634 were defined by INPS.

The Institute's commitment has made it possible to reduce the investigation times as much as possible: from the moment of the transmission of the application, within about four working days, carers and home helps can consult on screen - at the access point to the Pensionistiche ”, Bonus section 200 euros - the outcome of their request.

In October, the benefit will be paid automatically to Naspi and Dis-Coll holders (as long as they are unemployed in June), to the number of beneficiaries of agricultural unemployment 2021 and to holders of former Covid allowances (Sostegni and Sostegni bis decrees).

For domestic workers, the deadline for submitting applications is 30.09.2022; on the other hand, those belonging to the other categories called to submit an application may request the indemnity by 31.10.2022.

As of October, the requests sent to INPS by workers will be defined as follows:

  • holders of coordinated and continuous collaboration relationships, with an active contract as of May 18, 2022 and income deriving from the aforementioned relationships not exceeding € 35.000 for 2021;
  • seasonal, fixed-term and intermittent with 50 days of actual work in 2021, which results in an income not exceeding 35.000 euros. The audience of recipients also includes fixed-term workers in the agricultural sector;
  • registered in the Entertainment Workers' Pension Fund with 50 daily contributions in 2021, from which an income not exceeding 35.000 euros derives;
  • occasional self-employed persons without VAT number, not registered in other compulsory social security forms, already holders in 2021 of contracts governed by Article 2222 of the Civil Code, registered in the Separate Management on 18 May 2022, who have paid at least one monthly contribution in the course of 2021;
  • in charge of home sales, registered in the Separate Account as of May 18, 2022, who can claim an income of more than 2021 euros deriving from this activity for 5.000.

Finally, it is recalled that the decree law n. 115/2022 (so-called “Aid bis”), published in the Official Gazette no. 185 of 9 August 2022, provided for the extension of the 200 euro bonus to workers not covered by the previous decree, such as redundant workers and workers returning from maternity, sportsmen, doctoral students, research fellows and pensioners from 1 July 2022, in addition to the financing of an additional € 100 million for the disbursement of the € 200 bonus to professionals.
