Marseille-Eni: at this moment without Descalzi, the company risks a great international crisis

"In this delicate international economic and political moment, the only one that can still drive ENI towards greater verticalization and with results is Claudio Descalzi" are the words of the President of FederPetroli Italy - Michele Marseille on the renewal of the positions in the companies in which the Italian state and mainly in ENI.

“For years, Descalzi has started an Industrial and Economic Plan in ENI that has led the national energy company to be one of the first international oil companies. The economic results and the reconversion on new eco-sustainable productivity lines confirm this, I am talking about the conversion of refining and new energy techniques from clean sources. A replacement of the Chief Executive Officer, at this moment, would compromise the foreign relations of a large part of the Italian Oil & Gas system and of the companies that follow the business trail with ENI, we would risk a great structural and market crisis, to the advantage of companies state-owned oil, ready to enter business today of great industrial appetite, such as Libya, Africa and a large part of the Middle East ”.

Regarding the Nigerian scandal OPL-245 which sees the EN EN and other members of the management being investigated “At this moment it is irrelevant, the Inquiry is old. We must think of the thousands of ENI workers who live thanks to the results achieved, the Inquiry will run its course, for now let's move on with the businesses that Italy and ENI have in hand. We cannot afford the luxury of losing them, ”concludes Marseille.
