Meritocracy? No thanks, we are in Italy

Recent timid signs of recovery affect Central-Northern Italy, thus remaining the chronic state of crisis for work in the south

The work ... that is not, at least in southern Italy - despite the recent government proclamations that unleash the 0,1% of growth thus holding a sterile and resilient behavior - is now a chronic drama in the South Italy Center abandoned to its own destiny .

I "New" jobs created essentially in the center of the North, preceded by many layoffs, are in the measure of 80% made up of futures contracts, or precarious labor.

Everything is aggravated by the need to host poor immigrants without any serious hope for growth in productive activities and good tourism management, a real opportunity for economic recovery.

There is no work for the Southerners who have ceased their search, let's find out what work can be offered for so many emigrants who are thus lurking in the streets or are stuck in the quest before the supermarkets!

How can we hope to grow in an area where the "mindset " of people (but mostly of trade politicians - characters who are incapable of their profession and become well-offed with political activity) is to "lend" and rely on the "turn recommendation" with inevitable affiliation of their family for gratitude to the advocate good peace of meritocracy?

There are only a few job opportunities to win but with the law of the strongest: otherwise it's all about leaving.

Again, the old Alfredo message in the movie, "New paradise cinema", tells Toto to leave South America and never return!

The southern countries are thus emptied more and more and our young people go to the north, or rather abroad, and obtain great results, participate brilliantly in research doctorates - which we are the prerogative of only a select few - and manage to assert themselves, proving their capacity.

In our southern lands all this would be almost impossible.

Competitions and qualifications should be subjected to constant and serious controls to be credible: in fact, those who deserve should be rewarded, unless they are tied to someone who counts in certain environments!

Transparency must be true and serious, not, for example, that of some School Offices that, by abusing the position of some of the officials, deny access to the files to teachers, thus penalizing them further, because they are objectively unable to assert their own reasons.

If they do not defeat the logic of lobbies and hidden powers and will not choose to merit meritocracy, there will be no hope and future for a fairer, more just and more civil society.
