The Milan State Police, coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of an investigative activity carried out on a group of Albanian citizens dedicated to carrying out apartment thefts, carried out an arrest order against four people suspected of crime.
The Albanian citizens aged 30, 32, 34 and 41 years old traced inside various homes in Paderno Dugnano (MI), Varedo (MB) and Limbiate (MB), held responsible for committed and attempted thefts in various Lombardy provinces, were arrested by the policemen of the 2nd section of the Milan Flying Squad on the basis of the provision issued by the Public Prosecutors of the VII Department - Municipal Organized Crime, in charge of the investigations.
The investigation began with the identification of a stolen large-cylinder car used by the criminal syndicate to travel to the locations of the thefts and then escape: on this vehicle the criminals used to apply cloned license plates from other cars and applied to make it difficult to trace the powerful vehicle through city gates.
The observation and shadowing services, the viewing of cameras of the video surveillance systems, the technical activity of telephone and environmental interception, have allowed the Flying Squad investigators to identify other cars used by the criminal group and to collect evidence regarding the responsibility of Albanian citizens in relation to seventeen residential burglaries, committed between 14 and 28 October last, committed with the climbing technique or by lowering themselves from the roofs to reach the apartments to be burgled.
The house searches carried out by the Flying Squad officers made it possible to find, in a garage located in Rozzano (MI) available to the suspects, one of the large cars stolen and used to commit the thefts. Clothing worn during the thefts being prosecuted, tools suitable for burglary, a circular saw, two-way radios, torches, car keys, cash, jewelery and watches of furtive origin were found.
Furthermore, during the service, another Albanian citizen, also with a police record, was subjected to checks and was accompanied to the police station for further investigations.
