The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the new Rectorate of the University in via Ostiense by the Chief of Police-General Director of Public Security, Prefect Lamberto Giannini, by the Rector Prof. Luca Pietromarchi, by the Director of the Department of Law, Prof. Giovanni Serges. Also present at the ceremony were the Prefect Maria Teresa Sempreviva, Deputy Director General of Public Security in charge of the coordination and planning of the Police Forces, and prof. Marco Ruotolo, Vice Rector, who contributed to the definition of the project.

The goal is to strengthen the connection between the world of training and institutions, promoting forms of collaboration also with reference to new training paradigms, with the aim of providing information on the activities and careers of the Public Security Administration and guidance in professional choices. for the benefit of the University Law students, in particular those enrolled in the three-year degree course in Legal Services for territorial and IT security (Polo di Roma Tre in Ostia).

In the intentions of the Parties, this is an important step in a shared path, aimed at promoting the promotion of legality in the various forms of expression, also by strengthening research activities on the subject, which may then be the subject of scientific publications.

It is also the way to present to the new generations, through training initiatives (lectures, seminars, internships, workshops), the values ​​of the Ministry of the Interior, as well as the organization and functioning of the Public Security Administration, developing knowledge and skills through the analysis of practical cases and issues concerning the general principles of administrative action and the activities of the judicial police.

At the same time, the proximity between Administration and University will also allow the former to make use of the research and the spirit of innovation of the academic world, in order to respond more and more adequately to the requests of citizens.

The Chief of Police and the Rector expressed great satisfaction with this agreement, which could constitute a valuable partnership model to be replicated in other sectors as well.
