MIPAAF: Agea tenders for the purchase of food for the most needy are resumed

“The tenders for the purchase of food by Agea to support the needy are restarting. We have worked in recent weeks to solve a problem that had blocked the tenders and now the notice for the supply of 3 million kilograms of 00 flour has been published, using the FEAD funds of the Ministry of Labor. In the coming days, further calls are planned for other products such as tomatoes. I thank the offices for the work of these days, we give a long-awaited news from the charitable organizations that with their irreplaceable commitment ensure that this aid reaches the most needy. Guaranteeing access to food is our duty. Also for this reason, with the Budget Law, we wanted to strengthen the intervention on the national fund to increase the purchases of food for the poor. In these hours of celebration, I ask Italian companies again to donate, recover surpluses and help those in difficulty. We can do it together ”.

So yesterday the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies Teresa Bellanova commented on the opening by Agea of the tender for the assignment of the supply of soft wheat flour type "00" in packs of 1 kg in food aid to the poor in Italy for an amount of 1,25 million euros.
