A huge fire, which broke out on Monday evening, is destroying the wooded area of Mount Serra, in the municipal territory of Calci.
The flames, due to the strong gusts of wind, spread quickly and are threatening some houses in the area that are evacuated, dozens of people turned away and given them shelter in some buildings made available to the municipality.
Many firefighters arrived on the spot and together with numerous volunteers from local associations are trying to tame the flames.
