US-Russia, Moscow interfered in the presidential elections but there is no evidence of Trump's involvement

President and Vice-President of the US Senate Intelligence Commission, Republican Richard Burr and Democrat Mark Warner revealed that the investigations confirm Russian "interference" in the 2016 presidential elections, but admitted that there is currently no evidence of involvement of the President Donald Trump, who came out victorious from the consultations. Despite this, writes the Wall Street Journal, "there is still much to worry about." When, in 2012, Mitt Romney warned that Russia was to be seen as our main geopolitical opponent, many mocked him, and now it turns out that the Russians, even if they have failed to penetrate our electoral system, nevertheless have come to the threshold. Furthermore, it turns out that social media such as Twitter and Facebook were not prepared to counter Russian manipulations, implemented through the dissemination of political claims and fake news. Moreover, the two senators admit that the Russian action is continuing. According to the Wall Street Journal, this is what the senatorial commission should be doing, instead of continuing to look for a link between Trump and the Russians that "looks as elusive as the yeti."
