The State Police of Naples, delegated by the Public Prosecutor of Naples, executed this morning in the Sanità area, a precautionary custody order against 12 people, all seriously suspected, in various capacities, of the crimes of association for the purpose of drug trafficking and possession for the purpose of drug trafficking. At the same time, another suspect was notified of the obligation to report to the police, for the same criminal cases.
The precautionary measure summarizes the results of an investigation conducted between 2020 and 2022 which documented the existence and operation, in the central Sanità district, of a criminal association dedicated to the supply and retail sale of large quantities of hashish and marijuana.
The investigations documented how the group in question was able to ensure seamless supplies of narcotic substances to its customers, thanks to a consolidated system of "itinerant" drug dealing squares.
This peculiar modus operandi requires that some associates receive the order by telephone from the customer on duty and, having agreed on the place and time for the delivery of the narcotic, they transmit the order to the various pushers serving the organization, so that they complete the transfer.
The investigative activities made it possible to ascertain how the organization had not reduced its criminal activity even during the restrictive measures resulting from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic: in fact, it could count on a large group of pushers, "flying" support ” and custodians of the narcotic.
A further strong point of the partnership was the ability to deal, if necessary, with any requests for cocaine from its customers, thanks to the "mutual aid" guaranteed by an autonomous drug dealing center headed by one of the suspects.
At the same time as the execution of personal precautionary measures, movable and immovable assets were seized from some of the members of the criminal association, including two garages, 54.000 euros in cash, as well as numerous banking relationships.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and, as such, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
