23 orders for pre-trial detention in prison, 5 under house arrest: this is the balance sheet of the investigation activity of the DDA of Reggio Calabria and of the State Police called Canadian Ndrangheta Connection 2. 16 more subjects, compared to the 12 arrested on 18 July the Reggio Calabria Mobile Squad and the Rome SCO are affected by the restrictive measure. These are elements with top roles, affiliates and nominees of the 'ndrine MUIÀ, FIGLIOMENI and the COMMISSO clan of Siderno.
The investigation of the DDA of Reggio Calabria - developed in the two-year period 2018-2019 - with an articulated investigation conducted by the Reggio Calabria Flying Squad and by the Central Operational Service of the State Police - allowed to outline the structures and operations of the ' ndrine MUIÀ and FIGLIOMENI, connected to the more established and dating back gang COMMISSO, traditionally operating in Siderno (RC) and Canada and to broaden the knowledge on the articulated structure of the 'Ndrangheta in the supranational context, since it was possible to document, for the first time, that the territorial structure operating in the great North American state, referable to the local of Siderno, is currently governed by an organization authorized to meet in foreign territory and to take decisions also with reference to the criminal dynamics currently existing in the Calabrian territory.
