No lockdown but mandatory Immune app

(by Francesco Matera) The Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte does not want to hear about General Lockdown. There is a lot of concern for the country's economy that it cannot go ahead with welfare measures. It is no coincidence that Conte, during last night's speech, said that the measures to support income will no longer be included in the next financial maneuvers. It is clear that these measures cannot become structural in a country that, under normal conditions, was not navigating calm waters due to the high value of the public debt which this year alone will exceed 160 percent of GDP.

When asked by a journalist on the use of the ESM for healthcare costs, Conte was categorical saying that it will not be taken into consideration because it is a question of adding debt to our already high public debt, then no European country has used it and could take it cause the stigma effect on our public debt (editor's note, or on the conditioning that analysts and foreign investors could have on the quality of a country's debt).

The password. We must all participate without imposing restrictions from above. Conte therefore delegated to the Municipalities and Regions the decision to close nightlife areas, commercial establishments or any other place where it is believed there may be dangers of uncontrollable contagion. The mayors and governors have raised the barricades, accusing the government of having implemented the "blame" policy.

La Stampa reveals another idea that has flashed into Prime Minister Conte's head. Mandatory use of the application "Immune".

But the application doesn't seem to work well. This was revealed by an investigation by the television program, the "Hyenas" which showed not all the local health authorities have shown themselves equipped on how to use it when faced with reports of positive cases via anonymous code. The government, pressed by the CTS scientists, would be thinking seriously about it.

The CTS document sent to the Government speaks of "absolute need for timely diagnosis, monitoring and effective contact tracing ".

The first signs from Vito Crimi: "It is necessary to enhance the usefulness of Immuni, making it mandatory for access to certain places or services and verifying that the entire health system is able to exploit its potential".

Tracking appears to be the only solution to keep the evolution of the contagion under control. With restaurants, clubs and means of transport open and functioning, albeit with some limitations, you can no longer rely on word of mouth. The only important thing is that the Immuni app really works and that the ASLs are ready to use it as it should.

They will see some good ones.
