Sweeping checks on Roadpol's heavy vehicles and traffic police buses on European roads.
During the checks that concerned the buses carrying passengers and heavy vehicles, as part of the Truck & Bus operation, coordinated by ROADPOL - European Network of Traffic Police, the Italian Traffic Police, checked 9.823 heavy vehicles and 423 buses.
3.306 violations were charged, of which 257 for exceeding speed limits, 22 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 202 for failure to use seat belts, 586 for the tachograph, 286 for technical inefficiencies and cargo, 473 relating to vehicle and transport documents, 31 relating to the transport of dangerous goods, 4 relating to the transport of waste and 1.445 other offenses. 149 driving licenses were withdrawn and 8.131 driving license points were deducted.
