The sixth edition of the annual military-historical publicist awards took place today in the auditorium of the Palazzo Aeronautica in Viale dell'Università - Rome.
The Air Brigade General John Francis Adam, Chief of the Fifth Department of the Air Force General Staff, opening the event, explained that the unique initiative of its kind in Italy was born out of the work of the Italian Institute of Uniformology, Iconography and Military Historical Publicism Quinto Cenni of Rome (IUISM ) under the patronage of the Ministry of Defense and the collaboration of the Air Force General Staff and constitutes an important meeting point between various experts and enthusiasts of the subject - scholars, soldiers, historians - united by a common interest in the traditions and science of uniformology and military.
During the awards ceremony, the intervention of the air team master was significant Antonio Conserva, Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Defense, who recalled the interest he aroused in the country and the emotions that the arrival in Rome of the "Memory Train" which, coming from Aquileia, retraced the historic journey that led the remains of the nameless soldier, symbol of the 600.000 fallen in Italian uniform during the Great War, up to the Altare della Patria.
The initiative represents a further important step for the Arma Azzurra towards its anniversary which will culminate next year 28 March 2023 when the Air Force will be 100 years old.

- ARMY STAFF – Special book prize 2022. Motivation: An editorial work created to collect the Architecture and Art of Palazzo Arsenale linked to Piedmont in the past and to Italy in the Present.
- MILITARY AIR FORCE – Special Book Award 2022. Motivation: A work produced to collect the history and culture of the building symbol of the Air Force.
- CORPORATE FIRE BRIGADES – Special prize for the 2022 calendar. Motivation: Professionals of public aid and civil defense.
- DR CHIARA SBARIGIA – Cinema Award 2022. Motivation: For his commitment as president of Cinecittà – IstitutoLuce, a body that has always been involved in the production and documentation linked to the history of our country.
- PONTIFICAL INTERNATIONAL MARIAN ACADEMY – Institution Award 2022. Motivation: Meritorious Pontifical Scientific Institution dedicated to promoting the culture of Legality and for the Common Good.
- CISOM Italian Rescue Corps – SMOM – 2022 Calendar Special Award. Motivation: Faithful to their millenary tradition of assistance, pillars and forerunners of rescue and assistance.
- MILITARY GEOGRAPHICAL INSTITUTE – 150th Foundation Special Award. Motivation: On the 150th anniversary of its foundation, it remains proud of its institutional work at the service of the nation and which will continue in its commitment to make geographical knowledge and technical culture the foundation of its being also for future times.
