The State Police of Palermo from the first light of dawn, thanks to a vast operation, is inflicting a heavy blow, yet another, to drug dealers.
With the "Green Finger" operation, staff of the Palermo Flying Squad, delegated by the Public Prosecutor of Palermo - District Anti-Mafia Directorate, is carrying out, with the collaboration of homologous branches of the State Police of other Italian cities and of some crews of the Western Sicily Crime Prevention Department, dozens of precautionary measures against as many criminals responsible in various capacities for the crime of criminal association aimed at trafficking, even internationally, of narcotics, which had triggered a whirlwind round of drugs, where the Palermo square was junction fundamental, in the transition from the "wholesale" to the "detail" of the drug.
The focus of the investigators of the "Antidroga", during a survey of the 2015, focused precisely on the "wholesalers" of the drug: two criminal organizations were dismantled, independent and unrelated to each other, "specialized" respectively in procuring large loads of cocaine and hashish.
In the first case, the routes, connections and relations between the associates of the criminal association with subjects of the international underworld that were recorded from Argentina, after European intermediate stages, would have sent large quantities of cocaine to the city were recorded.
In the second case, the relevant loads of hashish that arrived in the capital would even have been distributed in other provinces and the Palermo square would have assumed a role of "regional and inter-provincial drug collection", as well as a sorting center.
The hashish, often coming from large suppliers located in Morocco, would have remained in "storage" inside warehouses in northern Italy until it was purchased by Palermo sodals and only then would it have been made to travel to the capital.
The quantity of hashish monitored entering the capital, which is estimated to exceed 1000 kilograms, 700 of which were seized in several tranches by the State Police with the relative arrest of the couriers, is significant on the scale of the dismantled drug tour.
Also noteworthy, during the investigation, are the seizures of cannabis cultivation carried out by the Flying Squad in the Palermo area.
