The State Police of Pisa, at 4 o'clock last night, carried out a detention ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Pisa, following intensive investigations conducted by the Flying Squad, against a 35-year-old Italian, considered the alleged perpetrator of the premeditated attempted murder of Dr. Barbara Capovani.
According to an initial reconstruction, yesterday the woman, a psychiatrist in charge of the Adult Mental Health and Spdc functional unit of the Santa Chiara hospital in Pisa, was attacked by a man dressed in black who then managed to escape.
The details relating to the assault and the arrest will be provided in a press conference to be held this morning at 11.15 in the conference room of the Pisa Police Headquarters, Caserma Mameli, in via S. Francesco n.4 Pisa
