Plenitude and Leolandia together for the energy transition

Plenitude (Eni), through its subsidiary company Be Charged, and Leolandia, the theme park for children aged 0 to 12, have signed a multi-year strategic partnership to raise awareness among visitors to the amusement park about the issues of energy transition.

It will in fact be built inside the park Futuro Driving School, a new attraction in which children will be able to enjoy a fun-filled experience together with their families, driving electric vehicles suitable for their age and thus receiving their first electric driving "licence".

The agreement also provides for the installation of a Hub with 10 charging points within the parking areas, where all Leolandia guests will be able to fill up their electric vehicle with energy.

Further initiatives are planned as part of the partnership, including educational programs for schools and offers dedicated to visitors.

Paul Martini, CEO of Be Charge and Head of E-Mobility Recharge Solutions at Plenitude, said: “This agreement represents an important opportunity for Plenitude to bring the general public closer to the issues of electric mobility, including the new generations, who increasingly drive their families towards sustainable choices. We are therefore pleased to be alongside Leolandia to offer its guests both our electric vehicle charging services and an educational and engaging experience."

Joseph Ira, President Leolandia, adds: “The partnership with Plenitude is part of a complex project which envisages, on the one hand, the achievement of energy self-sufficiency of the park by 2025, and on the other, raising the awareness of the new generations about energy saving. Our mission, in fact, is also to convey, through entertainment, the value of respect for nature in all its forms. We are therefore excited to host the first attraction dedicated to electric mobility in an Italian theme park. We will also offer families the comfort of charging stations, making the experience at Leolandia, the theme park most loved by children, not only fun, but also ecologically responsible."
